Sivagiri Mutt

Sivagiri Mutt is located in the beautiful city of Varkala near Thiruvananthapuram, sprawled over an area of 200 acres of land, on the hill top of Sivagiri. It is a renowned tourist destination in Kerala for the spiritual seekers. It is the headquarters of the Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham- an organization of the great reformer Sree Narayana Guru's disciples and followers, called Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam (SNDP). The 73 feet high tomb shaped Mutt is visited by pilgrims from all around the world irrespective of caste, creed, language or religion.

The social reformer Sree Narayan Guru (August 28, 1855 – September 20, 1928) lived here at Vaidika Mutt and after his death the place holds his Samadhi and displays his personal stuffs. He breathed his last here. This is one of the popular pilgrim destinations in Kerala.
